What would you do if you've seen a rickshaw-pulling robot on the street? It can make you laugh, but then it can make you think. The rickshaw pulling robot is Mr Wu Yulu's 32nd son out of 47 robots, he makes all of his robots in his backyard, from walking, talking, painting, and even jumping robots out of scrap metals, He started his unusual hobby in 1986, being sprayed with battery acid, detonated a bomb, and even burnt his own house which causes his wife to nearly left him. But now Mr Yulu's perseverance has paid off, he is invited to present 30 of his "sons" on the Shanghai World Expo 2010,where he will promote the practical uses of his robots. Mr Wu had already received many prices and awards from many contest. Robot making has been Mr Yulu's life-long obsession, he had been fascinated by the mechanics of movement since childhood when he saw someone walk passed in front of him, and imagined if he can make a robot that can walk like a human.Mr Yulu had even admitted that he loved his robots more than his own children. Now what would you do if you saw someone come pass by riding a robot?
