Last year DARPA was pretty popular on YouTube after showing off BigDog. However, now they have a cheetah. Just yesterday, DARPAtv uploaded a video showing their cheetah running up to speeds of 18 miles per hour! Its capable of doing this using four agile legs and a "backbone" that moves.
